Stott Pilates Bounce and Burn Weight Loss with The Cardio-Tramp Rebounder DVD (England/France)

Too short of a beginning workout
This workout is almost like a beginner's program with detailed instruction on just a few jumps. For me, this was easy and basic. Others may find it a little more challenging. The actual workout time is about 20 minutes. And the time spent jumping or rebounding is perhaps about 9 minutes; I thought I was going to jump longer and with more intensity....

[For a more dynamic cardio workout, I suggest that you check out "Pilates Jumpboard DVD". At 21 minutes, this is an excellent jumping or rebounding workout which is fast moving and well-paced.]

A Pilates reformer, the cardio-tramp rebounder attachment, and the long box are used in this workout.

Total time (about 31 minutes)

Warm up (about 9 minutes)
Workout (about 20 minutes)
Cool down (about 2 minutes)

Here's the breakdown.

Warm up consists of light work, stretches, and a lot of prep-work instruction.

Workout

Basic jump
Stretch...

Great
It helps the align your body. I don't know how many adults used the wii console to test their body weight and alignment but I do and no matter how hard I try to keep still and not move during my messurrering...I move even if it's a little but I only used this take for my pilates machine and now I've finally received a 50/50% balance on the wii balance board for my body alignment. It's safe to say that I love this DVD.

Stott Pilates Pilates Reformer Challenge with Platform and Pole DVD (England/France)

Moderately challenging reformer workout
This reformer workout is moderately challenging and easily doable. It begins gently, and then picks up speed, with a little more intensity, and finally ends nicely in stretches. Much of the whole body is worked, but not exhausted, and the time passed quickly. This workout was quite pleasant to do.

Moira Merrithew instructs. Natalia Haigler and John Garey demonstrate.

Total workout time is about 45 minutes.

Here is the breakdown.

1. Warm up
Arm crosses
Spine rotation
Pelvis roll up and down

2. Footwork series
Leg press
Heel press
Leg press/pulses
Heel press/pulses
High half toe press
Calf stretch
Running
2nd position heel press/pulses

3. Hands in straps
Triceps work with crunch
Lat pull with crunch
Arm circles
Single leg stretch

4. Feet in straps
Leg pull
Press out/pulses

5. Hands in straps
Arm work...

A thoroughly enjoyable variation on the essential reformer workout
This is an essential level reformer workout, but noticeably harder than the At Home Reformer workout -- and it's really a workout rather than instructor training demonstrations as the Essential Reformer DVD is. It's reasonably intense (even the folks on the DVD look challenged at times) and there are plenty of points where Moira gives ways to make the workout even more intense (and has John demonstrate).

Call Me Troy

Doesn't work in dvd player
very good Biography of Troy Perry. Unfortunate I had to watch it on a small computer screen instead of my big 42" TV

Bio Rev Troy Perry
Did not play in either of my dvd players. Watched on the computer. A very good Biography of Reverend Perry's life up to early 2000's. Just wish it had been a real dvd.

Emotional Branding - Leadership, Service & Teamwork Strategies for Creating Sustainable Success - Business Training DVD Video

Entertaining and Highly Useful
I have watched this seminar several times and I keep getting more out of it. Scott Deming is so passionate about the idea of branding and he shares ideas that are easy to understand and take action on. There are lots of great stories and strategies that can be useful to business owners or to use for staff training. He is really able to explain how to get your customers to go out and sell everyone they know on you and your product. What could be more valuable?

Smurfs

Enjoyed the content but it's missing something
First, let me say that I enjoyed the movie. I have been a fan since the Hanna-Barbera cartoon from the eighties. This is a cute and enjoyable movie, even with the occasional low brow humor and over-indulgent slapstick that channels old Hollywood physical comedy. No the story isn't overly complex, but it does dabble in backstory that pays attention to the canon from Saturday morning cartoons a la Hanna-Barbera without going into too much depth. It's enjoyable for all ages, whether kids or kids-at-heart who want to be nostalgic or just entertained. The cast was a good fit, even if Hank Azaria was subject to brutally obvious Wile E. Coyote moments in the story.
Now the downside: Even though I won't rant with a verbal tantrum that some of the others have already posted, I will say that I share their disappointment about my purchase of a more-expensive 3D Blu-ray version of this film, to find out that doesn't include all the extra features like "The Smurfs - A Christmas Carol"...

Funny and entertaining for the whole family
This movie resembles two recent 3D videos: it uses the same combination of real-life footage with cartoons as "Yogi bear" and its cartoon heroes resemble gnomes from "Gnomeo and Juliet". Like with "Yogi Bear", there is an entertaining plot which keeps you occupied, and there is good humor which makes you laugh. Smurfs is a little better than Yogi Bear, though, because plot is more sophisticated and acting is more complex and involved. There is nothing in this movie to scare little kids but they may get bored as one probably has to be 10+ years old to understand all the humor and adult's problems with balancing professional life with family and Smurfs, but adults will certainly have fun. I honestly think it is one of the better movies that came out in 3D to-date.

Talking about 3D - 3D effects are OK but not outstanding. There are several scenes made with extensive use of computer graphics done with 3D in mind which stand out, but the rest of the footage is regular 3D footage...

Great movie, but seriously lacking 3d!
This was a wonderful movie! The smurfs look great, and Gargamel was spot on. Neil Patrick Harris did a spectacular job also. The voices for the Smurfs were perfectly cast. Everything about this movie I loved, until I put in the 3D blu ray. There were maybe there spots in the whole movie where the 3D was noticeable. There was hardly even any depth to the movie. Even my kids were dissatisfied with the 3D and they are 7 and 5. Most of the 3D showed up right at the very end of the movie. If you are looking for a good family movie, this is it, but if you want a good family 3D movie this is not, try Madagascar 3 or The Lorax, both them were great! So if you want this movie get the Blu Ray version, you get The Smurfs Christmas Carol disc with the regular blu ray, but not with the 3D version.
